Jade Edu

Jade Edu is educational software that supports schools and educators, promoting learning in a gamified way for children and teens who learn differently, including those with Autism (ASD), Dyslexia, ADHD, other neurodivergent conditions, and learning difficulties.

Jade Edu helps students develop cognition and basic learning skills both inside and outside the school environment. The platform measures their performance, identifies difficulties and potential, and provides detailed reports to teachers. This data enables the creation of personalized teaching strategies and fosters a more inclusive classroom.

How it works

1

Signing up for Jade Edu

The first step is to sign up for Jade Edu. Choose between educational institutions and self-employed educators, then complete the training to learn how the platform works.

2

Pedagogical anamnesis

The educator will interview the parents, filling out a pedagogical anamnesis available on the platform. The answers reveal the behavioral characteristics, main difficulties and strengths of each child.

3

Time to play!

After the anamnesis, the tool provides specific games, based on the age and learning needs of the user. These games consist of several phases and, as the child progresses, the levels become more challenging.

4

Performance analysis

As children play, performance reports are generated for education professionals. Teachers will be able to access these reports on the Jade Edu platform.

5

Customization of the teaching plan

With the data in hand, teachers and educators can analyze the individual performance of each student. This information can guide the creation of new teaching strategies for each person, allowing for individualized learning.

Bonus

Parents and guardians can download the Jade App, a free game application integrated with Jade Edu, with an interface designed specifically for students.

  • Mapping of difficulties and tracking of progress.

F.A.Q.

  • For which age group is Jade Edu recommended?

The platform is recommended for children and adolescents between 3 and 11 years old or students enrolled up to Elementary School.

  • How often should students use Jade Edu?

We recommend that the platform be used three times a week, between 15 and 30 minutes per use.

Remember: In any age group, the use of technology has its benefits, but in moderation. Up to 18 months old, it is not recommended for children to use devices with screens.

  • Is the software to be used only in schools?

No. The platform can and should be used at home to complement learning. Also, by different education professionals: resource room teachers, pedagogues, technology teachers and in other teaching contexts, such as circus education.

  • What is the role of educators in relation to Jade Edu?

In addition to observing the child's behavior while carrying out the activities, professionals should offer support like giving tips when the child has difficulties, asking questions about the differences in pictures or patterns, relating the task to something in the child's routine. For example:

“Look, in the top row there are a lot of sweet foods that we eat as…? (Answer: dessert).”

When the child responds, professionals should say: “That's right. And on the bottom row, which of these foods we do not eat for dessert?”

This way, the educator offers a verbal stimulus to the game, which is only visual, in order to expand its use by non-verbal children as well. When the child gets it right, praise should be given, saying “very well, you did it”, always smiling and trying to maintain physical contact, such as a touch on the arm. This type of praise is called positive/social reinforcement, which is very important for autistic individuals who tend to have difficulty interacting.

In addition, it is essential that parents maintain a dialogue with the school, reporting the child's behavior during activities at home and other personal perceptions that may be useful.

  • What is the difference between Jade Edu and other apps?

Unlike other applications on the market, Jade Edu does not charge per assessment, and automatically generates student anamnesis and reports. In addition to being planned and developed for the learning of atypical children.

  • How were the exercises designed?

For the educational software to be a complete tool, the exercises were designed by Jade's scientific and educational staff. The learning competences included in Brazil’s Common National Curriculum Base were considered, as well as teaching methodologies aimed at autistic children and those with learning difficulties, and the impact of these activities on the students, so that they could adapt to their cognitive needs.

  • How to analyze the charts

Each graph already has a brief explanation of the results, highlighting the student's main difficulties and strengths. Chart descriptions provide specific guidance for each task, such as mediation and positive reinforcement. The analysis may also include suggested extra tasks, such as connecting the dots and training perception, or the cancelation of activities, if the data indicate attention difficulties.

In addition, for the analysis to be even deeper, information should be cross-referenced between the results shown in the graphs and the behaviors observed by parents and teachers.

  • Can the platform be used only by children with ASD?

No. Jade Edu can also be used by children diagnosed with Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyscalculia, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, and Dyslexia. It’s also great for children with other learning challenges, as the app helps develop attention, mental flexibility, auditory memory, impulse control, logical reasoning, emotional recognition, and processing speed.
